Gaining Momentum!

Momentum is a heck of a thing!

Large companies already have full heavy weight freight train type momentum. Once things are going, all the wheels and cogs work to keep it going forward.

We often look at a large company like Amazon, and just focus on the face key person, Jeff Bezos and think that the entire operations of Amazon is being propped up and held up by one single man. The truth is, such a large operation is the result of every single person involved, starting from the very top at Jeff Bezos, and going to the very bottom, so called janitor.

Every single person works to keep that momentum going. The janitor keeping the offices clean sure do help the productivity of everyone working in the office. And to add on top of this, the momentum of Amazon or any other large company, is also kept up not only by the personal behind the company, but the public interacting with the company; doing business with them, instantiating transitions with them.

So what does it take to get the momentum going? What does it really mean to give birth to an energy that can assent into titanic proportions?  Jeff Bezos surely must know, right?

Anyway, this is just a small preface to help me express my personal feelings of gaining momentum so many times in my life, only to lose it, for one reason or another. Yes it is in deed very nerve wrecking when you have to face your loss of momentum.

So what do you do when you lose momentum? Simple get up, pick up a single spec of dust, and begin to build back again. Be like the T-1000 man.

I started this blog on the 18th of September, and it is now the 26th, and I am here finishing this blog. It's very upsetting to consider the gap of time between the start and finish of the post, where did the time go? But it's most important that you finish the job, post the blog, and keep building on that sedimentary rock.

Something I can't quite answer as of yet, is does that momentum get easier as it gets bigger? Or Is it much harder to lose titanic sized proportions of momentum?

Thoughts for the day (week) folks!

This has been a reflection for how long it's taken to put myself together in life and how many times I've had to pick up the specs of dust and begin building back those piles, those hills, those mountains.

Phew...

Today is a landmark day.

Today is the day I finally got sub domains liking to google sites and this blogger. After months of failing to understand DNS settings, I have finally figured it out! What great news!

So what's next?

Well I shall begin to use this blogger site to maintain development blogs and talk about what I am working on. This should be an excellent opportunity to work on my composition skills, amongst many other aspects of writing and focusing.

I will do my best not to write empty filler junk. You are just going to have to give me a little bit of adjustment time in order to get in my writing flow and loosen up my personality behind the keyboard.

The main website will be used as an anchor point, while the blog and labs will serve to record development, and document some of the technology behind developed.

Sites Overview

Thats here!

The goal is channel this blog site as a means of documenting my rants! haha! Speaking of which, I wonder if this blog might serve to flush out brainstorming?

Would brainstorming be something interesting for a game development blog? hm?
Ideas can be flushed out, or perhaps the blogs can be edited and updated to contain the final concepts in document form?

As a sentimental person, I would leave the blog more untouched, so the world can get a preview of things raw. For science!

As for documentation, perhaps thats what labs is for, or GitHub projects. I am still currently unaware of how to install my own wiki.

The fun place!

Hippo Labs is the place where I intend on documenting overviews of certain technology's being used within the game stack.

Perhaps just more technical talk, since I wear so many hats anyway, sheesh. Different homes, different vibes.

Also labs can be a place with tons of download/git links, and tons of WebGL demos to play around with.

Final Thoughts:

Well, I am going to keep this short, since it has been a long exhausting day. Just committing myself to write a blog on the day I got it all setup.  I feel good about where this is at.

Quick update on the tech, going to work on the level loader tomorrow (hopefully, lol)
Also, my next article will be to break down the ScriptablesUnityPdx, from Chad.

Blog Testing

Greetings,

Well this is a sample of the blogger service. I am not sure which blogger I will settle with in the end, but it must fit my needs and it must get the job done!.
